The term Onboarding refers to the process of converting a candidate for a role into that role within an organization. The candidate may be new one Jamal Murray Jersey , or could be an existing person within the organization and is assuming a new role. Many different consulting and technology companies provide customized products and services to automate or define the onboarding process. The process definition and control of onboarding seeks reduction of costs along with a better and more effective assimilation of the candidate into the new role.
Onboarding also helps in cost reduction and focuses on the replacement of paper forms processes with electronic processes that are faster, more accurate, eliminate document shipping costs, eliminate data reentry costs, and mitigate risks. The above style of onboarding is also known as transactional onboarding.
These days Organizations seek to quicken the candidate鈥檚 effectiveness in the new role through a more effective and faster onboarding process. This aspect of onboarding is known as acculturation or socialization, and is achieved through the deployment of a specialized enterprise portal that provides information about the company, the candidate鈥檚 new role and peer workers, the company鈥檚 benefits offering, etc. Onboarding process also provides access to forms automation and training tasks. An onboarding portal is the component of the organization鈥檚 HRMS system or Employee Self Service portal. The onboarding portal can be implemented as part of the company鈥檚 intranet, or in some cases as a standalone onboarding portal. Some of the major Vendors known for their work in this aspect of onboarding include Enwisen and Silk Road Technologies. A closer study on each of the vendors and their products reveals that there are two basic approaches to onboarding, which are transactional onboarding, and acculturation.
The transactional onboarding and acculturation are not mutually exclusive. It varies within different organizations. These days the organizations usually go for more than one onboarding vendor to address different requirements, which are driven by specific organizational goals or objectives. The objectives are often influenced by the company鈥檚 strategic objectives and policies. The onboarding softwares take care in offering effective employee communications, employee retention strategies, employee portal, total rewards statements etc.
While selecting any onboarding software, one must be quite aware of its efficienct. Inefficient onboarding can prove to be extremely time-consuming and costly process which involves dozens of steps, forms and systems that can result in a loss of productivity, incomplete paperwork, missing compliance-related documents etc.

The island of Malta is a great all year round holiday destination for people of all ages. There is plenty of entertainment for families thoughout the island and there is enough for history buffs to enjoy on their vacation. The nightlife is great in St Julians and Sliema, fun for night owls young and old.
It really is a fun packed place to travel to, but what are the most important items that you need to save room for in your suitcase? The following are ‘must’ items that I would take with me during the hot steamy summer months. essentials for comfort and pleasure:
Mosquito Repellant
For some reason I attract mosquitos when others around me don’t. Not very fair but that’s the way it is so I have to prepare for the onslaught and especially if I am going to be anywhere near water at night. I take a spray or cream repellant, but make sure that I choose one that doesn’t smell bad and spray all of my exposed bits when I go out in the evening and take it with me for a top up if I am out longer than a few hours.
On one of my Malta holidays, in my rush to get out on my first evening I forgot to spray the bare bits in between my sandal straps and had so many bites that my feet became infected, swollen and painful. I had to get some bigger sandals to wear for the rest of that holiday. I also take a plug in mosquito killer for where I sleep. Cream and spray repellants wear off over time and if the slightest bit of juicy bare skin is exposed while you are sleeping it’s the signal for an all out mossy attack!
Antiseptic Cream
If a mosquito gets through your defences and if you are sober enough to notice that you’ve been bitten, applying an antiseptic cream like Savlon or Germoline straight away usually reduces the affect of the bites. I’ve also found that E45 is very soothing for bites and burns.
High Factor Sun Tan Lotion
Malta can be sunny all year round, so you need to always take a good sun tan lotion with you. The summer months are particularly hot and sunny so you really need to protect yourself and your family from getting burnt. I would take factor 50 sun tan lotion with me and especially for children.
Sun Glasses
A must for sunny days in Malta. My sun glasses have been made up to my own prescription so that I can wear them to read when I’m relaxing on the beach or round the pool and I can also drive safely while wearing them.
Sun Hat
I tend to walk around a lot, or spend hours on the sea when I’m holidaying in Malta and it’s so easy to get sunstroke if your interest gets caught up in something while you are out in the sun. Of course you can buy sunhats and most of the items that I’m listing in Malta, but if it’s your first time there it takes time to get your bearings and even a short ti.
